With rising life expectancy, Malaysians approaching retirement face the daunting prospect of old-age poverty. This paper argues for securing a lifetime income in retirement and explores how individuals can manage longevity risk in the current environment. Additionally, we examine experiences from other countries to provide a broader perspective. The paper is prepared by the ASM pensions working group.
